damn...lucky!

after spending the weekend in big bear last weekend, i'm just DROOLING over the place--especially the tree runs and back country possibilities.
I was a little hesitant to go explore the canyons on bear mountain without knowing whether i'd end up stuck at the bottom and have to hike to the lifts.
But I'd love to get out there and explore the secret powder staches with some cool locals.
let me know if any of you guys would be down.  I'm seeing that it's supposed to snow again the first thurs/friday in feb.
i'm thinking of picking up the 3 day pass they're selling for $100 at sport chalet and spending two nights up there.  anyone have lodging hookups?
I was looking at the big bear hostel for $28/night.

Hey all,

I live here in Big Bear.  The snow is awesome. I was out today, and it was gorgeous. The roads are clear and we even have gas and groceries.

I will be hitting the first chair - chair 1 at Summit, at 8:30 am tomorrow Friday.  Wearing a blue beanie, goggles/shades, black pants, blue and gray Columbia jacket. I am an advanced skier. Sorry no cell. Introduce yourself if you are there!  About 10:00 or so, will be taking the shuttle over to Bear.

Saturday, same starting location, but first chair is 8:00 am.

Cheers,

Nat
