Storytelling and the Art of UX

SCWDD is pleased team up with UXPA LA to present Storytelling and the Art of UX by Lizzy Bentley! Come learn why this processes is gaining traction as a critical tool to enhance both the user experience and the business bottom line.

We're doing eventbrite because meetup doesn't allow two groups to collaborate on an event (as far as I know). I may allow 5 RSVP's here just to make sure meetup does a follow up announcement, but you'll want to RSVP on Eventbrite in either case. Sorry for the inconvenience.

At its very essence, User Experience is a multi-disciplinary practice. The UX practitioner must be conversant in technical and business requirements but also in design principles, psychology, marketing and communication skills. Harmonizing the needs and working styles of users, stakeholders and creative partners frequently falls to the UX professional in the room, however these ‘soft’ skills are difficult to describe, to teach or even to identify. Springboarding off scenarios we will investigate new methods that use story as a nexus between the hard realities of business and technical requirements and the desired goals of intuitive and delightful experiences.

Design deadlines. Urgh. Extremely sorry to miss this. Lizzy is absolutely fantastic and I know you will love this presentation! My seat is open for someone else.

Anyone interested in carpooling to the event from the Echo Park area? I may be carless this week, but really want to go to this event. Buy you a beer after the event?

I don't get why EventBrite is needed to host an event. I use MeetUp every week for events and people register and let everyone know who's attending…

Meetup provides no way for groups to do combined events.

I've been informed that meetup will only send our a reminder email if at least 5 people at RSVP'd for an event. I've manually RSVP'd five people that I know to meet this requirement. However, to really RSVP you'll want to register using the Eventbrite link.

For people who Want a Spot. Just go to Eventbrite. :)

Sorry for the silly game but it's the way meetup operates... :(
