Calling all Social Entrepreneurs - Amy Pearl guides us through The Purpose Wheel

  • Sep 18, 2014 · 6:00 PM

Each month we hold our regular Meetup where people with a wide-diversity of interests in matters of social change come together to find collaborators, resources, learn new strategies, have fun, and make new friends.

We also have many supporting freelancers who offer their services to the group, people wanting to network and others who just have an interest in social enterprise and want to find a way to get involved.

Our venue is Hatch and if you don't know what Hatch is, go to hatchthefuture.org.  It's a co-working space for social entrepreneurs and they offer a myriad of free services to folks trying to launch or grow a social enterprise, business, or nonprofit org.

Due to our growth, we are now holding more than one Meetup per month.  Third Thursday Meetups will be a fun, small group activity where Amy Pearl guides us through one element of a phenomenal new business planning tool called The Purpose Wheel.

The small group activities will be focused on helping you move forward with more clarity of purpose. These are not simply feel good exercises. The activities have been designed and tested over the years by Amy Pearl with major universities and corporations.  The intention is to help you do the hard work of social, business, and personal change and be successful in achieving whatever that desired change is.

I have been a hi-tech business person for almost forty years , I have an MBA and have been through more training programs then I can recall. I honestly have not seen anything like this tool. It's a business planning, learning, and implementation tool that is both a map and a compass so you can confidently reach your envisioned destination whatever that may be.

The last thing I would ever do is create yet another networking event where we show up, meet some random people and go home wondering why we made the journey. I want you to go home thinking; wow, that was fun, educational, I can implement what I learned tomorrow, and I met some great people.  There is always time for networking at the end of the activity.

You will love the venue because there is no place else like it. You will find others who care about what you are doing and who want to support you.

We ask for a $5.00 donation or please bring along a six-pack or some yummy treats to share.

So far our Meetups have been a very relaxed, enjoyable time and we have made many new interesting friends!

I look forward to meeting you.

See you at the Meetup!

Don

It was great to experience the Purpose wheel that translated my project into Vision and Manifesto statements. Makes the project relatable and accessible for others to act on. Thanks Amy.

I'm a business coach, and I have taught sustainable business in a graduate business school, and I love Amy's Purpose Wheel. This Meetup is useful to any entrepreneur, and I show up as often as I can. Come and see why.
