We invite you to join us for networking conversations over lunch with social entrepreneurs, "changemakers", business partners, professionals, investors, marketing specialists, small housing providers, GW alumni and other members of the Friendship Archway Network.
EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED!
The first step is to get to know each other better to see if we are ready to work together harmoniously with appreciation, forgiveness and understanding. These monthly community events provide opportunities to develop more community allies and to connect with others with similar interests. Express what you are enthusiastic about to the co-organizers and attend the followup session.
WHEN: 12:30PM TO 2:30PM on the third Sundays of each month, same place, same time each month.
COST: free and open to the public (suggested donation of $2 to $5 for charity is appreciated). Winning ticket for a happy "appreciation" gift to be announced immediately after a round of self-introductions by attendees.). Self-pay for food or drink you order.
We appreciate Lynette Melcher for her outstanding volunteer project leadership with members of the Allies Team. We also appreciate Adam Zuckerman, Ed Barrientos, Ryan Healy, Ryan Paugh, Jim Chung, Denitsa Rakitska, Dr. Kim-Renaud, Mark Forrest and other mentors and leaders for their contributions to entrepreneurship in the DC area.
These 3rd Sunday monthly events are opportunities for people in the Wash. DC area to make new contacts face to face. They are also a way to develop new friendships and trust by enjoying conversations over lunch and by working together on community projects to achieve shared aspirations. There will be a round of self introductions after everybody have arrived. We sit at one of these discussion tables for lunch (self-pay for food you order): people interested in more (1) business networking (2) career, professional development or mutual support or (3) more joy, good humor and infinite energy. After lunch, and a round of self-introductions, feel free to do more face-to-face networking and exchange cards with those you wish to follow up with.
This is a wonderful time for social entrepreneurs and changemakers: interest rates are low, people have time and are motivated to invest in themselves, build new mutually beneficial relationships, start new social venture projects together or build their businesses. Many investors regularly attend our monthly meetings. They are looking for suitable people to collaborate with or invest in. These 3rd Sunday luncheon events are enjoyable ways to get to know each other, particularly for women.
See you on 3rd Sundays at noon. We have been organizing these each month since 1997 initially from Capital Professional Center office building conference room near GWU (George Washington University). Save the 3rd Sunday of each month for more joy, friendship and prosperity!
