Hamilton Goes Mobile #FREE Half-Day Training Seminar (& SFNetworking)

On Feb 5th the weather gave everyone a solid reminder that it's in charge! Events everywhere were cancelled and for many it was a snow day. This meant the cancellation of our very first SFN Burlington event :( I was not happy.

However fortune favours the brave and I was chatting with Bill Janzen from Future Access [our new VIP vendor #sfnSPRING sponsor] and I had an idea ... What if we "joined" his upcoming event too?

As you know I'm a fan of cool gadgets and technology and when I heard about Bill's free training event showing businesses HOW TO setup a mobile website and more importantly WHY TO set one up - I jumped on the chance.

Yes, the event is in a morning and we usually network after work ... but timing is key and if we want to meetup this month we need to move fast. This works. And we'll learn some cool stuff too.

Doors open at 8am and the event runs until noon (or a bit after depending on us.) I'll be there.

It's free to attend the seminar. Bill tells me there's even a light breakfast being offered (at no cost) and if memory serves there will be plenty of gifts and goodies for those that register and attend including the chance to WIN a free iPad Air.

For more details visit: http://hamiltongoesmobile.ca I hope you can make it.

(Here's a picture of what the Niagara event looked like - yup, they've done this before!)

PS. The reason I'm not posting this in our Hamilton chapter meetup group is simply because they have an event scheduled already for February.

It was great meeting new people. I've never been to a networking event before like this (I just started up a couple of weeks ago). I hope to meet more people at the next event!

    Good morning James and everyone,

Just got back from the doc's and it's now official:
    Bronchitis - 1 vs Eniko - 0
This is why I made the decision this morning - while hacking up a lung or two - not to attend, and NOT to share this with you all.
Hope to see you all at the next event... minus the Bronchitis.
    Warm regards,

Thank you to Bill for letting me post my free event for women next Saturday March 8. Women In Technology Hamilton is hosting Tech 101 - Websites with Al Davis. This event is designed to help women understand all the jargon that goes along with your website to help you manage it yourself or hire someone to do it. Please sign up for our mailing list at http:// withamont.com and we'll notify you when the registration opens. We are also looking for sponsors to keep the event free and great! Please contact me if you have any questions. Thanks!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
