Almanac beer tasting (or wine tasting if you prefer)

This is probably my favorite wine bar, but I've talked to the owner and she's going to offer a special craft beer tasting on a Thursday night!  The beers will be from Almanac Brewery in Nor Cal.  (I'll update the meetup when exact types of beer are determined.).  It will be $15 for the tasting, and you won't be disappointed.

Also, if you're not a beer drinker, but enjoy wine tasting, they have about 15-20 wines to taste as well.  They always have a wide variety of reds and whites that range from $1.50 to $5 per pour.  And it's a "serve yourself" a great way to find a wine you like without having to buy a whole bottle.

Just received word, we will be tasting the following (5) beers from Almanac:

1) Honey Saison, 2)Extra Pale Ale, 3) Beire de Mars, 4) Beire de Chocolat, and 5) Barrel Noir.

About Almanac Brewing: Their artisan ales are brewed in collaboration with select Northern California sustainable farms. Each limited release is a unique beer to be enjoyed with friends and savored around the seasonal table.

    Hi all,
I've been to two places I thought I'd share with y'all that offer tastings: Hidden Vine in Mission Viejo on the lake (awesome view/location; wine only) and Amazing Grapes in Rancho Santa Margarita (wine, beer and GREAT appetizers, too). Both of these places give you more room to roam. : )

Hey, is this a "starts at 6 pm sharp" thing, or can we get there when we get there and still get involved?

    May 15, 2013

    • Vince

Not "sharp". The tasting will be from 6-8pm at your own pace, so as long as you get there by 7:30 or so, you're fine.

That's what I was hoping to hear! Thanks for the reply Vince.
