If you are a beginner, someone who just recently started practicing yoga or simply prefer classes with a slow, meditative pace, then my classes may be a good fit for you.
My name is Yelena. I began practicing yoga in 2008. When I started, I was constantly comparing myself to others – how much more flexible and stronger they were. I was trying to catch up with this “yogi-image” of some sort, till I realized that I was doing something that was so opposite of yoga.
The way I look at yoga now is different. Yoga for me is about acceptance of one’s level of practice, compassionate and gentle care of mind and body, and the learning process of when to let go and when to keep at it.
