Okay, time to burn off the pumpkin pie we all had on Thanksgiving!! Beginners welcome, but this is an intermediate hike that will be a 5.5 mile hike up the Live Oak trail to Vista trail then back via Hoffman Homestead trail. The trail has lots of trees, only moderate hills, and we’ll take a few short breaks along the way.
This hike should take us about 2.5 hours or so. Please remember to wear appropriate hiking shoes, bring snacks to keep your energy up, and water! Bad weather will cancel this event, so be sure to check for a possible cancellation email before you leave that morning.
Meeting spot: We’ll be parking at the Corner Bakery parking lot (parking is free) on El Toro road right off the 5 freeway. We’ll then carpool to O’Neill Park to make it easy for people if you’ve never been there. The park is 15-20 minutes up El Toro/Live Oak Canyon road. And please plan to be there and ready to go at 9:30am.
