PARIS 50+ SOCIAL COCKTAILS AND DINNER
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2012
The Horses Tavern
16 Carrefour de l'Odeon
6:30 - 7:30 pm Cash bar
Paris Metro: Odeon
This is just a friendly reminder that focus of this group is a 50+ Social Outing. It is great fun to see old friends and meet new ones, some that turn into lifetime friendships. Our group has grown so large that we now have 20 to 30 people that attend. It is my desire not to set a limit on attendance and make it affordable for all who want to attend. I chose the Horses Tavern as it is newly remodeled, clean, reasonably priced for all budgets with a great selection of food, will allow us to have a pre-dinner cocktail party in a private room and will take reservations on a Saturday night! The room is large enough to accommodate all that want to attend and is centrally located in Paris.
A 3 Euro contribution to the Organizer is appreciated. This will help with the Administrative costs and usually covers all of my expenses and buys me a cup of coffee at the end of the day.
Cocktails: 6:30 - 7:30 pm Cash bar
We must clear this tab before dinner. 10 Euro minimum for Credit Cards.
Seating for Dinner: 7:30 PM
After cocktails, if you would like to leave to head out for another restaurant, that is certainly acceptable. If you plan to stay at the Horses Tavern for dinner, please add Yes for Dinner in the comment section of your RSVP. If you are leaving, please say No Dinner. That way, I can get a good head count for the restaurant ahead of time. And….if you RSVP for dinner, please Show Up. If your plans change, please change your RSVP to No, or send me an email.
As this is an honor system arrangement, each person is responsible to pay for what they eat and drink. It is a good idea to find a Wine Buddy that likes red or white, and order and share the expense of a carafe or bottle. Sometimes a bottle gets ordered, and it is passed around the table. Then everyone thinks they only had one glass and no one takes responsibility for the cost of the bottle. I know this is not intentional, but it does happen.
Please do not go to the bar to pay if you are using a Credit or Debit card or wish to leave early. Patricia willl signal the waiter for those transactions. Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.
We all look forward to a wonderful dinner, good conversation and lots of laughter again. Come join us for a evening with good food, good conversation with a group of friendly, fun and interesting 50+'ers!
