Lunch on the 25th will be upstairs at Bouillon Racine, a lovely Art Deco Restaurant at 3 Rue Racine, off Boulevard Saint Michel in the 6th...Phone:[masked], website www.bouillonracine.com.
I've chosen a set menu as it seems this is the way to go for the most reasonable price. The table is booked in my name and the menu will be:
Cold soup of green peas with fresh mint or Mousse of zucchini and tomatoes
Duck confit with home made mashed potatoes and mixed salad or Roasted sardines with tapenade on crushed potatoes
Mixed fruits or Home made creme brulee with maple syrup
followed by coffee.
The cost of 29 Euros per head includes a bottle of red wine for every 4 people.
I'm asking that everyone pays me 30 Euros when they arrive and the extra Euro per person I will give as a tip.
Would those of you who plan to be there please RSVP to me by this Friday 18 July latest. I'll confirm the number with the restaurant on Saturday 19th so I'm sorry but I won't be able to add anyone after that date.
I look forward to meeting you all on our inaugural 50+ Meetup!
If you're aged 50 or more, male or female and looking to expand your social network in Paris then this is the group for you. It's always a pleasure to mix with a younger crowd but it's also nice to meet with those in our own age group who are fit, fun and young at heart. If you enjoy sampling the cafes and restaurants (maybe finding some hidden gems) or just soaking up the history, culture and street life of this magical city then join the group, make new friends and enjoy!
