The Shunt Bar - Art, Music, Bar - My favourite place in London!

  • March 28, 2009 · 7:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

The cost to get in for non members (we are non members) is 10 pounds, payable to the venue, on the door.

You must take some form of photo ID to get in - see this info

So, be at the Starbucks (as described) by 7:30, as we'll start queuing at 7:31 sharp! So don't be late!
If you are late, by all means come and introduce yourself if we're still in the queue - however, to be fair to the other attendees, I would ask you to queue from the back - I won't have mtmoLondon people pushing in!

Although the maximum limit has been reached for the event, and there is a waiting list, the venue is large enough to comfortably fit everyone in. As such, I will raise the limit to accommodate the current waiting list.
How to Find Me/Each Other
: Think Flowers. I will wear a flowery shirt, and a flower in my lapel. If other people could wear something with flowers, or wear a flower, it will make things much easier.
In addition I will email my mobile number to all attendees.

========================================================================
I've been to the Shunt Bar just once before with a great group of mtmoLondon members.
For a while it was threatened with being closed down, but it is still open, and is 'live and kicking'.
The night at the Shunt Bar was my favourite ever mtmoLondon event..

The venue is amazing - huge caverns underneath London bridge, with art installations, live music, great DJs, great people... I'd recommend bringing a camera, or at least a camera phone.

Check out the reviews from out last visit, or simply google!
The entrance is hard to find, as it's an unmarked door in London Bridge station. You'll probably see it as the queue can be big. It's a members club, but if we get in by 8.30pm, then we're fine.
So, to make it easier - We'll meet by the small Starbucks off Tooley Street, an entrance to London Bridge station. Don't be late!
From London Bridge Road, walk down Tooley Street towards London Dungeon, and it's before London Dungeon on the right .

Please RSVP with an absolute reply, as it is very difficult to plan/know who to wait for if people change their mind.
There's a little information here: http://www.shunt.co.uk/eventsfuture.php

If you've been in mtmoLondon for a while, and want a fun night with interesting people, then this should be a great night!

Again, please give honest RSVPs.
I will not be charging for this event, as it's a welcome event for new members - and 200 members have joined since the last event I (personally) arranged!

I have limited the places to 40 people - that's under 10 percent of the group, so you ned to be quick to get places! If the places run out, and people are on the waiting list, then I may consider amending the maximum number of people. I Look forward to meeting all the new members, and seeing friends again!

You can get it for £30 if you join there mailing list, wait till you receive a mail, go to the door and say you bought membership ages ago but never bothered renuing it, otherwise membership is £60 Well worth it i recon as it worth poping by regularly and during the week usually has a lot more interesting arty stuff going on than on a weekend.

Glad you decided to check out Shunt. There really isnt many places like this in london at the mo. Yes it is closing in July sometime i think. You will see some images of Vultures picking at a skeleton, this is symbolic of Shunts closure. I would seriously suggest bying membership witch gives you and 1 guest free entry for 3 months.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
