Walk From the Sywell Aviator to and around Sywell country Park and back again.

Walk from and back to the Sywell Aviator Via Sywell Country Park.

Our previous walk around Sywell Country Park was very popular and so I thought I would repeat the with some slight detail changes.

Our start point this time will be the Sywell Aviator Bar and Restaurant, this venue is part of Sywell airport and is designed in a Art Deco style with aviation memorobilia from the early days of flying. Sywell continues to function as an aerodrome and if the weather is nice we may be able to sit out after the meal  and watch aircraft landing and departing. Its also has a small aviation museum that can be visited.

The walk from the Aviator will cross a number of fields of rapeseed (the farmer has cut a neat path through it). We will then proceed to circumnavigate Sywell reservoir before retracing our steps back to the aviator.

The meal is booked for 2pm, I have booked 14 for lunch. If people do not want to stop for lunch I would appreciate it if they could let me know.

There is a large bar, so its likely people can be accomodated if they change there mind on the day.

We will be walking across a field, it has not been ploughed and is compacted earth, however its likely to be a bit sticky after the rain, so good boots are needed and please bring a change of shoes for the aviator (its quite a smart place).

As a matter of interest if anyone is keen to host a walk for a week then let me know, I am more than happy to post it up and you get to have an official meetup title (Super walk Organiser or something :-).

Yes good boots will be needed I think, when I walked across the field it was compacted earth, however its likely to be sticky now after the rain. Also there are some muddy areas around the reservoir. If you would like to go in the Aviator afterwards its worth bringing another set of shoes to wear afterwards (I will be doing that).

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
