We are going to venture outside of Park Slope and Carroll Gardens to help a business affected by Hurricane Sandy - The Good Fork!
In 2006, when The Good Fork opened, it was voted, "The Best New NYC Restaurant" by TimeOut Magazine.
Eater included The Good Fork as one of, The 38 Essential New York Restaurants, October 2012": http://ny.eater.com/archives/2012/10/the_38_essential_new_york_restaurants_october_12.php
They won the Throwdown with Bobby Flay with their dumplings (which are AWESOME!).
The Good Fork was decimated by Hurricane Sandy. They recently raised $50K+ in only a few days because their food is so good and their hospitality is so warm.

Reservations are NOT accepted but the owners know me and usually slide me in within a reasonable wait time. We will have drinks nearby (and help another Sandy-affected business!) while we wait for our table. (But we will meet at The Good Fork!)
Each person will pay for their own food and drink, PLUS 8.875% NYC tax, PLUS 20% tip.
The cost of the meetup is $1.00 (to help defray the $19/month fee that Meetup charges me to be the organizer). Please pay the $1.00 fee when RSVP-ing.
See you next week!
