FOODIE FESTIVAL AT HAMPTON COURT PALACE and DRINKS ALONG THE RIVER THAMES!
The Royal Gardens at Hampton Court Palace will play host to this years largest Foodies Festival on May 23-25th. The celebration of food and drink features demonstrations from Michelin star and top chefs, including 2009 Masterchef winner Mat Follas; Ed Baines of Randall & Aubin, Martin Blunos; Agnar Sverrisson of Texture, Jun Tantaka of Pearl; Rob & Tom Aitkens, Gary Lee of The Ivy and Shay Cooper of the Bingham. The event also features tasting tents from champagne experts Veuve Clicquot and Harvey Nichols, masterclasses with tastings led by industry experts including wine, cocktails, gin, whisky, canap?s and caviar; fine restaurants cooking up culinary delights including Caf? Spice Namaste and a market of selected food and drink producers.
This is going to be a great day out: the event will host junior cooks masterclasses designed for budding chefs. Discerning foodies in their thousands will attend the event to celebrate a passion for fine food and drink and a commitment to fresh, seasonal and local produce.
I think this is a great way to get out of London, so a bit of site seeing and meet some fellow foodie friends.
The festival is inside, so this is a rain or shine event.
