All Social Tech enthusiasts, The Social Tech Group usually meets every second Tuesday of the month for food, drinks, networking and discussions about IT technology, business and advice. Come and join like-minded friends to share ideas and discuss the latest IT trends.

There has been many discussions about podcasts and which ones are best for tech news. Here is a list of those that I find interesting. You can download them at the website shown or through iTunes for your ipod/iphone. BBC's Click - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/click_online/default.stm This Week in Tech - http://www.twit.tv/ Diggnation - http://www.diggnation.com/ Buzz Out Loud - http://www.bol.cnet.com/ Scobelizer TV - http://www.fastcompany.tv/scobleizer-tv If you can think of any others - let me know!

We meet in the Copa Bar, 76-78 Kings Road, Reading RG1 3BJ from 6.30pm onwards http://copareading.sm4.biz/ We usually have a reserved area downstairs and the food is quite good. RSVP for further directions - hopefully see you there, Anthony.

It was great - got to meet some very inspiring and passionate about technology people. Made me reaffirm that it's good to be a geek.

Looking forward to my first meet with you guys. One burning question I am looking for a job in IT. I see so many vacancies and my skills are not far off from them. Nothing a little - and I mean LITTLE - training will not resolve. Certainly no more than would be provided to a new recruit to any company, yet am frustrated any not getting anywhere; its not as if I don't have the experience nor qualifications. Who out there is looking and not able to find someone to fill in their vacancy?

Arvind most of the times the job are fake and are posted by recruitment agencies to collect cv and measure the market.I had experience where recruitment agency call me and try to get the information about the my manager and kind of work going. If you have the skill and the job is right the consultant will call you and you will be able to make out in his question whether he is real or not.

We are the only people on the bottom floor. The main stairs are just opposite the bar and only go down.
