Join us as we spend a pleasant Sunday afternoon walking around a picturesque part of London well known as a home of famous artists, poets and intellectuals. We'll start in Highgate where we'll see the burial place of Karl Marx the founder of communism. We'll also see the house of 18th century poet and drug addict Samuel Taylor Coleridge. After Highgate, we'll walk across Hampstead Heath where we'll see some spectacular views of Central London. On the other side of the heath we'll reach Hampstead where amongst other things we'll see the houses of the painter John Constable and the poet John Keats. The area we're covering has got some lovely pubs so as usual we'll stop at one for a rest and a drink halfway through the walk and another at the end of the walk in Hampstead. The walk starts at Archway tube station and ends at Hampstead tube station. We'll meet at 1pm outside of Archway station (Highgate Hill exit) and start the walk by 1.15pm when everyone's arrived.
