Two companies, MSS and ampStamps, have teamed up in a strategic partnership to offer a full suite of web, data processing, print media, marketing, and fundraising services to nonprofits. We share the same target customer base of nonprofits, have complimentary products and services, and very similar marketing needs. Together, we are seeking a highly competent, out-going, and motivated individual who can help us market our services to nonprofits and their corporate sponsors. Following is a description of each company:

Marketing Support Services (or MSS at is a provider of customized marketing services, email, direct mail, and personalized printing. We have been meeting the specialized needs of marketing and nonprofit professionals for over 40 years. With a long history of employing the latest printing technologies to produce brochures, catalogs, door hangers, letterhead, envelopes, business forms, newsletters, and postcards, we have also pioneered the use of information technology in print marketing. Our advanced production capabilities allow us to offer a host of services including QR codes for Card2Web, acquisition of mailing address and email lists, customer database quality improvement, variable data printing, NCOA (National Change of Address), Postal presorting and postage rate optimization, mailing, and mail-tracking. The MSS approach is customer-centric, solutions-driven, and personal. We help any nonprofit create strategies and products that serve their needs and produce great results at affordable prices.

ampStamps (or AMPS at is a new, innovative, Internet Start-up company, officially launching this coming June 2012. We do online fundraising for any and all nonprofits and any campaign. We do this with a new Internet technology that we have invented and for which we hold a pending patent. The technology involves digital postage stamps that are designed to work in emails and other electronic communications/social media such as text messaging, facebook pages, Twitter, etc. Think of something like the paper postage stamps you would buy and put on a piece of paper mail. However, these are small electronic postage stamps that anyone can include in an email or other digital communication for free, to show support for a nonprofit organization and help raise funds for them. Each digital stamp in our online catalog represents a nonprofit campaign for which funds are being raised. Each stamp is sponsored by a company who pledges funds towards the campaign. Our network of corporate sponsors pledge funds to each stamp so that the nonprofit earns a few cents every time a user includes a stamp in their communication, thus providing great PR for the sponsoring company. Our stamps have electronic intelligence encoded within them to track campaign performance over the web, provide online campaign reports, and real-time fundraising results to our nonprofits and their sponsors. As the ampStamps Fundraising Facilitator, you will function as a “match maker”, guiding the nonprofit and corporate sponsor toward the execution of their fundraising agreement.

Together, MSS and AMPS bridge the gap and close the circle between print marketing and online fundraising, with traditional time-proven methods and innovative new technologies. Because of our one-stop convenience, MSS and AMPS clients can start entire campaigns with a single phone call. We are seeking an individual candidate to perform in the following areas:

Social Media Campaigns
• Create and facilitate social media campaigns to market MSS & AMPS services to our customers
• Strategize and plan campaigns on facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn to market MSS and ampStamps services
• Find, screen, select, and facilitate other contractors or vendors who will create and maintain our facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn accounts and company pages
• … or create and maintain these company pages yourself
• Gather, understand, interpret, and report results from our facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn campaigns, in order to plan and improve our on-going social media campaigns

Customer Engagement
• Demonstrate an understanding of MSS and AMPS products and services and be able to explain them to prospective customers
• Deliver MSS and AMPS marketing and sales presentations to nonprofits, corporate sponsors, and other small businesses by attending marketing events and by visiting them at their offices (local travel expenses paid)
• Demonstrate past experience providing marketing communications, fundraising, and/or public relations services to nonprofits, corporate sponsors, and small businesses.
• Demonstrate a good amount of corporate sponsor and nonprofit contacts that you have in the Washington DC area
• Be able to facilitate and broker fundraising agreements between nonprofits and corporate sponsors
• Inside sales experience required
• Create sales follow-up programs
• Be able to work in the Washington DC area and travel locally by car

Education & Background
• A bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field (e.g. Communications, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, Web Design, Business Informatics, or Interactive Media Studies) is preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered
• Strong product strategy knowledge
• Strong understanding of and experience with databases and database concepts
• Knowledge of direct mail marketing desirable

Technical Skills
• Experience with Web publishing & blogs
• Demonstrate an understanding of social computing concepts (or web 2.0).
• Social media marketing knowledge & experience
• Search Engine Optimization (SEO) knowledge
• Strong Microsoft Office skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Experience with using Customer Relationship Management software
• Demonstrated capabilities using analytical platforms such as Google Analytics, Coremetrics, or similar tools
• A minimum of 2 years hands-on experience deploying email campaigns; prior experience strategically developing email marketing campaigns is highly desirable
• Able to make production processes into a marketable “PRODUCT” which can be marketed

Other Requirements
• Have a very sociable personality
• Have good oral and written communication skills
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Have a sharp and polished appearance
• Must have own car for work, expenses reimbursed
• Some telecommuting OK
• Ability to prioritize and work under a tight schedule, with input from several different sources
• Ability to collaborate with teams and facilitate the visual representation of concepts

Compensation will include a base salary, commissions on thousands of dollars of monthly sales, and paid expenses. This position also has great growth potential and can evolve into a higher paid executive position with company growth. What you currently see on our websites is only the tip of the iceberg of our business plan. MSS and AMPS have plans to evolve into other market areas and have potential for the type of phenomenal growth seen at other media companies and internet start-ups.
