“ Using your brains. Meeting interesting and intelligent people. It is usually very good, today was not. I did not like the speaker. It was a preaching not a discussion. I also was disappointed that the food was served so much later than usual, that I had to leave. It was dark and I have a hard time driving in the dark. I think this time of year when it gets dark early, they should be able to get some food out by five or five-fifteen the latest. The problem, I think was that the regular leader was not there. Please no more Christian Evangelists. I have an open mind, but this was not debate, but lecture at. ”

“ the absolute worst "intellectual forum" i have ever encountered. socratic only in that, like Plato's Academy, there are no women allowed to participate in the dialogue. their input is read as "interruption". no matter that the woman in question is an educated rhetorician and philosopher with a bible school background that is used to being called "professor' and publishing in journals. . . still, her (my) input was ignored and deemed an "interruption". the worst. one star is the lowest i could give it, but i'd rate it with negative stars. join only if you get really excited about reading an ignorant "dialogue" like "raping virgins, how the bible condones it" and "god forbid" you want to disagree or start actual philosophical dialogue. it simply isn't allowed. a group of cartesian leaning positivist atheists slinging mud at some men who attempt to defend their holy book's human/cultural faults. ”
