Creativity

Creative individuals are often described as unconventional, passionate, energetic, curious, resourceful, and imaginative. They are able to generate original ideas to solve problems, produce art, and think outside the box. Creative genius has inspired the world through revolution, art, music, literature, science, and industry. Thanks to the likes of Leonardo da Vinci, Albert Einstein, Steven Hawking, Marie Curie, Charles Darwin, and Steve Jobs, our evolutionary progress as a species has been shaped more by creativity than any other force.

But can creativity be measured? How does it relate (if at all) to intelligence? Is creativity a virtue? Is it rational? What is the relationship between creativity and consciousness? Join in the conversation this coming Sunday morning at 10:00am at Mama Jeans.

The conversation stimulated a bunch of thoughts in me. I had to reign myself in or I would have dominated the conversation and that is Greg's job. ooops....Greg you know I really mean it...........garland

I had so much fun being openly creative. I have concern that my spontaneity may have been perceived as inappropriate; this concern, I think, often inhibits creativity.

Carla will be facilitating this month's Socrates Cafe (she's an artist!), and at her suggestion, for those who are interested we will hang around Mama Jean's to have lunch following.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
