I just wanted to touch base with you briefly. I'm swamped with end-of-the-semester grading at the moment, and as soon as the semester is over I'm having minor surgery on my right foot. So I won't be able to attend a Socrates Cafe Meetup for the next month or so. But Mario has agreed to moderate again next time, and he's told me he's available to do so on Saturday, June 5th. I'm going to try to schedule a meeting for then. The topic is, roughly, the effect that advances in technology are having on our sense of community. More details in the next couple of weeks.
"What is the good life?" "What is love?" "Is beauty in the eye of the beholder?" Do you like to discuss philosophical questions? Come share your ideas with others who like doing the same. The Springfield Socrates Cafe is facilitated by Andy Johnson, a member of the philosophy department at MSU.
