I wish I could join, but alas, I am back in Oz at the moment.

I hope everyone has a good time :-)

Best regards,

Zoe

Hello everyone,

We'd like to let you know about a new meetup group that has been started in Tokyo, and which we think may be of interest to many Socrates Cafe members.

The group is called Sophia Cafe and, similar to our group, is focused on discussing a variety of philosophic topics. In order to promote making connections between philosophy and everyday life, they're also seeking to include volunteering projects as part of their activities. Their next event is happening on Sunday the 21st and still has a few spots left, so now is a great time to check them out!

The organizers, Angelo and Carminda, are also members of Socrates Cafe and are planning to attend our next meetup on the 28th (to be posted this Sunday). So if you'd like to learn more about their group but can't join them on the 21st, you can also take the opportunity to talk with them at our event.

We're really happy to see this expansion of philosophic discussion in Japan and hope Sophia Cafe will help make the practice even more popular. Please take a look at their meetup page if you'd like to learn more, and we hope to see you at the next Socrates Cafe as well!
