Fort Lauderdale Critical Mass Ride for May is Friday June 24.
Meet up time 6:30 for intros, ideas and telling tales then we hit the road at 7:00.
Start location is in front of the War Memorial in Holiday Park, the route is the same as it ever was
For June (and July) the City of Fort Lauderdale is holding Concerts on the football field in Holiday Park so finding parking maybe an issue. (or you might have to pay to park, or maybe find something across Federal Hwy in SearsTown... or if you can ride to the ride). But on the up side when we return to the park if you like the music well, just hang out...
Starting last month we found a new Party Spot for after the ride, "Laser Wolf", (voted "Best Bar" by NewTimes... it's a really funkycool micro brew place behind Searstown on 3rd Avenue. (You might be able to park near there too). Beer specials and complimentary hot dogs with the purchase of a beer (and I have been informed that they'll have veggie dogs too)
Tell all your friends and keep the rubber side down!
Critical Mass' is a worldwide phenom promoting bicycle use and safety, please google it to learn more... We'll ride about 12 miles in a big ol' peleton, trying to maintain an amoebic like group structure, thereby increasing everyone's safety and simultaenously raising public awareness for bicyclists everywhere. We'll ride at a slow to moderate pace, so anyone who can ride is welcome. This is NOT a race or contest of any kind, it is a social networking, public display of bikers for bikers.
