Things we've discussed are previous meetings:

* compiled languages such as Java, C#, and C++
* source control
* testing/debugging/QA
* working from home
* working in a cube farm
* corporate politics
* iPhone programming and "the Apple effect"
* beer

Etc. Ever interesting, never boring, something for everyone.

    It was great. I met many great talented people with a variety background. They were very nice, informative, and talkative. I'm looking forward to attend the next meet up.

    Hey guys, I'm new to this group. I am currently a student at MATC for programming and thought I'd join in to be a part this group as my profesional network. I look forward to meet all you guys when the day come.

    My employer, DNV KEMA, is looking to hire a developer with .NET experience. The position is currently listed as temp/contract, but there is a distinct possibility that it will be temp-to-full time.

    Brief description:

    "DNV KEMA’s Sustainable Use group is seeking a Software Developer highly skilled in Microsoft .Net application development for an estimated 6 month assignment based locally near one of our offices listed above. This position will require full time, 40 hours per week for initial ten weeks and then taper off to an estimated average of 12-24 hours per week for remainder of project. After initial ramp up period, this work may be performed primarily off-site if desired, and hours are flexible save for 2-3 core hours required each work day. Applications to be developed are tools used to calculate energy savings based on pre-loaded input and look-up data."

    email me at [masked] if you have questions
