FWIW, LessConf 2012 sold out with the last tickets going for $500 each without announcing their schedule.

It's something you can afford to do once you have a track record. Often something it's best to do to ensure the best content.

We have early bird tickets for sale for 2013 Madison-based conferences Snow*Mobile, UXMad, and Madison Ruby without schedules set. We do have some speakers which we'll be trickling out here shortly though.
