What Can I Hack?
You’re free to build anything that addresses whatever need or issue interests you and your team. The platform is open too. Your idea can be browser, web or mobile based, some sort of software as a service model, or a combination of any of those things. Just keep in mind you only have 24 hours to get it all done, or as close to done as you can to make a great presentation.
***The Zappos Challenge***
Our super cool friends at Zappos have posed a challenge to teams participating in this hackathon! They’ve offered up access to their API and will judge the ideas that respond to the challenge! Here are the kind of ideas they’re looking for:
Develop an application that enables consumers to better navigate the Zappos product catalog. For example, how might people discover and browse products they don’t not know Zappos sells (e.g. underwear and toaster ovens)?
Imagine the future of online / mobile shopping. What does it look like in 1 year? 5 years? How might consumers interact with Zappos, products or other customers in the process?
Create the Zappos happiness application. This application should uniquely integrate Zappos core values, world class customer service and fun culture to best convey the Zappos experience.
