Happy New Year!
First I wanted to send out a "personal request" to pass the word on our conference. As of today, we have 40 attendees signed-up for the conference. Only a handfull have signed up for the full-day workshops. While the holidays certainly contributed to this slow turn-out, we need to turn that interest level around. Our minimal target for this conference is 200 attendees.
I want to stress to every member the quality and depth of the conference we've put together. It's a world-class event. It's cost effective. And, it's local. To that end, I want to ask each one of you to become a champion of the conference in your local companies and professional networks. We have the potential in this area of 300 attendees. But it's going to take a lot of work on all of our parts to achieve this level.
And if we don't get a significant up-tick on workshop interest, we'll be forced to cancel the second day events.
So please help show us (and our speakers) that Raleigh-Durham, NC can sustain world-class events now and in the future.
