Morning hike along the Siskiyou Crest

This is an easy 5 to 6 mile total hike on the Pacific Crest Trail with cumulative elevation gain of less than 700'. Views of Mt. McLoughlin and Mt. Shasta dominate the trail as it alternates between north and south slopes. The terrain varies considerably as the trail passes through open woods, lush meadows, and the rocky crestline. The trail head is about a 30 min. drive from Ashland; expect to be back in time for a late lunch.

Please be on time.

Well behaved dogs welcome.

Wow - I had no idea of the beauty there and so close to home. The second half of the hike was a surprise workout - thanks David.

I am having feet problems and am thinking I had better cancel tomorrow. I will give it a few more weeks before I go that far.
