I like writing and spicy food and music and great conversations.
I especially am passionate about education, feminism, Human Rights, an understanding of the way much of Western culture is completely divorced from the actual process (and pain, etc.) of the goods we consume (and how to work to rectify this). For fun, I write poems (and sometimes stories), read, volunteer teach for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, belt karaoke songs, cook spicy things, play ukulele, (pretend I can) salsa dance, Zumba, and am working towards running my first 5k!
Through Jen's awesome New Wave Repro Justice Night!
Hey Michele, you're going to find more than a couple of allies trying to swing the book club vote in the dystopian / magical realism direction, very much looking forward to meeting you soon!
