I am a an activist, starting with anti-VietNam war activity when in high school. Most of my work life has been in state government. Now I focus on climate change and international environmental work. My last paid job was in Iraq building democracy.

(Your "introduction" will be visible on the homepage.) Use this space to provide links or more info: What social justice issues do you care deeply about? Do you work with any organizations or specific communities? What do you do for FUN? Thanks!

Climate change, deforestation in the developing world, a reduction in hostility with the Islamic world and international banking keep me busy. And I cook and garden as much as I can. www.marzilli.org

    Hi Jim,

Thank you for your comment on the wall for the upcoming volunteer abroad workshop. HI-Boston is hosting the event, we are not promoting a specific program, trip or hostel. We are simply creating the opportunity for people to exchange travel stories, ideas and inspire people to consider volunteer travel opportunities. Our speaker Shanna Snider volunteered for a small non-profit organization that did not charge her to volunteer. I hope you can attend the event on Thursday!

Welcome Jim. Wow, would love to hear about your time overseas! Would be great to have you speak some time at an event we organize, or at least catch up at a meet-up soon!
