Introduction

I'm a military brat and a military wife, so I'm not from anywhere, and I keep moving around. I just moved to Boston from Honolulu and am still adjusting to the culture shock. I'm a writer and a feminist, trying to navigate adult life after college.

(Your "introduction" will be visible on the homepage.) Use this space to provide links or more info: What social justice issues do you care deeply about? Do you work with any organizations or specific communities? What do you do for FUN? Thanks!

I care deeply about gender discrimination, but oppression in all forms is a matter of concern. If any of our rights are up for debate, then all of our rights are up for debate. I worked in the ethnic studies department at my university. I also recently interned for Women Action and the Media, and helped plan a women's rights rally here in Boston. I currently blog for Gender-Focus.com. For fun I love to go to concerts and listen to music. I also craft and sew occasionally. I play guitar and I am trying to learn the ukulele. I'm also a huge fan of video games, specifically RPG's like Fallout and Skyrim.

How did you hear about Socializing for Justice? Please be specific so we know which websites, listserves or people to thank.

I met Robbie Samuels through WAM! while planning a women's rights rally.

  • yay RPGs! Just read your profile for the first time, JC :) I love Fallout and Skyrim too! Although, I am nostalgic for aesthetics of Morrowind. If you're ever looking for a place to play your ukele, Voices of Harmony is always looking for instrumentalists :)
