Hi my name is Drew and I'm interested in meeting other people working on environmental and social justice issues in Boston.
I'm particularly interested in initiatives that bridge the divide between the issues of environmental sustainability and social justice. I currently do work in the "food movement." I work with the Real Food Challenge, a national campaign that organizes college students to commit their dining halls shifting 20% of their budget to purchasing local, sustainable, fair trade, and humanely raised food. I also work for the Northeast Organic Farming Association of Massachusetts coordinating workshops on urban homesteading, and coordinating a program that connects community based organizations in low-income areas to weekly deliveries of local food.
I googled "social justice meetups in boston" and voila!

Hi Drew, welcome to our meetup group...hope you can come to a meetup. Jean
Hey Drew, this is Deb Carey. I wanted to ask you, doesn't Boston have it's own meetups? I live in Amesbury which is pretty far from Boston, and while I appreciated the postings, if I wanted to go to Boston for events I would sign up for the Boston group.
Let me know what you think. Regards
