You have a good feel for the basics of photography, you know all about aperture, shutter speed and depth of field, but you still don’t always come back with photos of what you saw.
In this workshop we will go beyond the basics and explore how top photographers get consistent results.
We’ll start at 9 a.m. Saturday morning in the “classroom” and discuss techniques and theories used by the pros. Loren will talk about and show examples of how to look beyond what you initially see and get photos that are beyond the obvious. Loren will share tips and exercises that will help you “work the scene” and get better photos that you would have imagined. We will discuss some techniques that assure consistent results and get you thinking about being intentional about your photography.
Later in the morning we will get out and shoot for most of the day. Loren will take us to a couple great locations where you will be able to shoot a variety of photos. Loren will be closely looking over your shoulder (if you want him to!) asking questions and making suggestions designed to make you think about the decisions you are making. As always with photography, there are no rights or wrongs, but Loren will challenge you to understand what you are doing and why.
We will get back to the classroom in time to see and discuss the photos you shot. We will be done by 5 p.m.
