Trail work day

Instead of our first Sunday of the month day, this month we will continue with the cleanup from Sandy meeting on Saturday as we have for all of November. The details are:

Help Clear Last 1/4 of Trails, Saturday, Dec. 1; Hike
After a fourth extraordinary week of effort by the Chain Saw Gang and numerous community volunteers who have come out multiple times, we have cleared another 10 miles of trail. The seven-mile Lenape Trail is totally cleared along with most other blazed trails and woods roads. Yet, we still have about 10 miles to finish and several damaged regeneration sites.
To clear our remaining trails, volunteers over 15 years of age with loppers, bow saws, and especially chain saws are urged to come out:
Saturday, Dec. 1, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Meet at the Tulip Springs Picnic area, off Cherry Lane a quarter mile north of South Orange Avenue (turn right toward the large picnic area). (Call Dennis Percher at[masked], if there are questions.)
