Photographers in Philadelphia presents:

Ever think of starting a photography business, but aren't quite sure how? Have a photo business but want ideas to grow it?

Join us for a bluntly honest talk/discussion on the business of photography. Unlike other places where people keep their ideas as closly guarded secrets, we have no problems offering ideas/suggestions for business. PiP members will share their own experiences, and audience participation is strongly encouraged.

Yes at The Medical Examiner's Office Phila right behind Children's Hospital. I get calls sometimes from lawyers to get structure damage pictures. It's interesting work, but I have a difficult time eating spareribs for some time that follows the visit :-/

It was great, and really helped me to compare what I'm doing now making sure I'm not missing something.

    Mark,

Is there a fee for this? The SJ Meetup Group says nothing about a fee. The Phila Group says $10.°° LOL.

Nice catch... That's what I get for not running it by system test...there is a $10 charge. I'll update it and send an email to attendees when I get home tonight. Thx!

I just hope you have enough chairs for 18 people. Maybe it should be BYOC - Get It :-D

I will be there. Photography has been a hobby for many years but I really didn't start taking it seriously until a year or so ago (I was too busy writing books and working in live theatre which I've taken a break from now). I've totally fallen in love with photography now, on both sides of the camera. lolI'd like to learn more about how I create a small second income stream from it---right in the community in which I live (on the weekends). Just creative portraits, however.

Sounds like a great idea and who are the PiP members and how many years have they been in business?

I also have many years experience to included 6 years as a USAF photographer and 10 years as a Staff Photographer with the US Government. I have a background as an event photographer documenting USO,MWR and US Military events. I have made a living as a photographer! I am not just a GWC (guy with camera) or hobbyist like so many I have run across online. I would like to network with other professional photographers in the South Jersey and look forward to meeting everyone. I have viewed your work Joe on Model Mayhem and your site, very good! Where is your studio located and do you rent hourly?

At the top of this page there is a map link to our location. That is where I shoot along with the other 11 PiP members. We do rent studio space if you are interested. Rates vary depending on your needs.
