Update:  here are the hikes we have scheduled so far.  We may add a more difficult hike option on Saturday as well.

Friday:  Mt Pilchuck - 5.4 miles 2200 ft gain

Saturday: Lake Twentytwo - 5.4 miles 1350 gain

and Big Four Ice Caves - 2.2 miles 200 ft gain

Sunday: Cascade Pass and Sahale Arm - 12.0 miles 3600 ft gain.

There are so many fantastic hikes in the Mt Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.  Most of which are too far away from Tacoma for a day hike.  This camping trip will allow us to do these hikes and explore this area while relaxing by the campfire each evening.

We have a group campsite where we can all pitch our tents, roast marshmallows around the campfire, and have a good time together.  We've got the campsite for 3 nights so we'll have lots of time to take in the sites and explore.

I'll be planning a hike for each day we are there however you are welcome to do your own exploring or relax at camp or near the river.  I could use a couple volunteers to lead a hike of your choice.  Let me know if you are interested.

You can reserve a tent spot for $30 for the 2 nights or $40 for 3 nights and can fill your tent with as many people as you want.  Pay Danene for your site when you arrive. There are no spots for campers/trailers however if you'd rather sleep in your vehicle that is fine.  All cars will be charged $10 per night with a max of 10 cars which means you will need to carpool.

You are responsible for your own equipment and meals.

How is is that it shows 18 are attending but only 4 people are shown? I might not get that day off so I might be going up after work.

Can I park my motorhome in the parking lot.

    July 21, 2013

    • Danene

There are no RV spots at the group campsite. You could look to see if there are any other spots left that you could reserve.

      July 22, 2013

    • Danene

The site says not RV spots however it also says maximum length of 41 ft so it's possible that your motorhome would fit but I can't guarantee it.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
