Southbay Cruiser Update: Finding your Soulmate is as Easy as Riding a Bike.

Cruisers,

On June 16th, 2009 Jean Wren hopped on her bike and showed up for our Old Town Torrance Ride. After the ride she proceeded to show us all how to hula hoop in Wilson Park. Herwin Chan also showed up that day. It was his first ride with us. And although he showed up a little late, he made it in time to meet Jean.  And unknowingly to any of us, she would become his future wife. (You can see pics of the day Jean and Herwin met here.)

Yes, it was a short time after they first met at our Southbay  Cruiser Old Torrance Ride that Jean and Herwin started dating. And now, as of May 26th, 2012, they are officially married! This is really exciting news! Would Jean and Herwin have met each other if they were driving down the street in their cars? Probably not. They both took a risk that morning to venture off into the great unknown that we call Old Torrance.

But wait there's more....Another Southbay Cruiser couple (Tina and Pete) have also announced that they will be married soon. And although they didn't first meet at a Southbay Cruiser ride. They have told me, it was the  Southbay Cruiser bonfire rides to Dockweiler that one summer where they first got to know each other. We look forward to seeing them live a happy life together as we do Jean and Herwin!

So, you never know what will happen when you venture off on a bicycle through your neighborhood. You can cruise the bars and the clubs and you might find your soulmate there. Or who knows, you may just find your soulmate riding your bike dressed up like your favorite animal in a wild kingdom ride, or at a late night bbq in Valley Park, or maybe by giving a hula hoop lesson after a ride.

Our next ride is set for June 17th-Old Torrance! Click here to rsvp.

But if you can't make this ride. List your own ride through your neighborhood in our group. Take inititiative like Jean did. It's easy. Just send me an email and I will post you as an Event organizer for our group. Then you can post your own ride through your neigborhood.

Ok, lookin' forward to cruisin' with you soon!
