Hey Everyone!
I was wondering how many of you were planning on going to the MBGP, or would like to go, but aren't sure how to get there?
Well, I'm definitely going. I've got a few friends racing that day. I always enjoy ringing my cowbell and making lots of noise as the racers go by.
I was wondering if any of you would like to meet-up at the Hermosa Beach Pier Sunday morning and ride to the race?
I don't know how much you know about American bike racing, but there will definitely some big names in American Cycling participating in the race, like "Fast Freddie" Fred Rodriguez and Chris Horner.
There will be lots of foreigners too, that live here, like "The Cuban Missile" Ivan Dominguez.
Rock Racing is sponsoring so they're going to be there again. 7 time US Criterium Champion, Rahsaan Bahati won it last year and will be going for it this year, although team-mate Fast Freddie might have something to say about that. I've ridden with all four of them on the Tues & Thurs days "Pier Ride" leaving the MB pier at 6:40am - in the off-season, so there will definitely be some favorites for me to cheer for.
Here's Rock Racing's commercial filmed along our local Encinal Canyon Road.
If you watch the Verses Channel - Tour de France Type Coverage - You'll see it a lot.
A little something to get you excited for the race.
Hope to see you out there!
Marco "Tony"

I wonder if Mario Cipollini will come out of retirement and race for us?

Hey John, remember back in May when I pointed him out to you?
Remember this face?
You said you didn't follow racing but do you remember him now?
Check out his stats http://en.wikipedia.o...
And he lives in our area. He can't live in Italy. Too many people know him.
He's a rock star over there and just some guy on a bike over here.
Cue Nickelback now:
