This group was started in March of 2008 and has been enjoying multiple events every month.
Organizers and Assistant Organizers of this group put in a significant amount of effort to make interesting and exciting events happen, often using their own home as the venue. We all get to enjoy the event. Please be courteous and show your gratitude. As the organizer, I am committed to allowing everyone to participate in events without having to pay huge fees for the event. Yet, it is important that the organizer and assistant organizers do not carry the entire burden.
In the spirit of "Pay it Forward", please seriously consider donating to the Southbay Friends Event Fund.
I suggest a nominal donation of $1-$10 per person per month: you decide what seems right.
This money will be used to help Organizers defray costs, to cover cost of set-up or clean-up of an event, to cover venue costs, to provide some food & beverages for events, etc.
Even if you cannot donate money, please volunteer to help (arrive early to setup, stay late to clean up, or bring awesome snacks, etc... do your part!) Contact the organizer of an event to offer to help.
Make sure that the events can continue and the organizers do not burn-out (as so many do on Meetup)
