Matsuri Festival at Hakone Gardens in Saratoga

Fun filled with Japanese cultural events, foods, tea, music, dance, art, and silent auctions. Highlights: Japanese Calligraphy demonstration on a large canvas, Mochitsuki (Mochi pounding) performance, Tea ceremony, Tsugaru Shamisen and Japanese musical instruments performances, Festival songs of Four Seasons, Shorinji Kempo, Ikebana demonstration, Silent Auction, etc.

Foods served: Chicken Yakitori, Curried rice, Ramen, Gyoza, Kagami Biraki, and Sake tasting, etc.

Free admission: Donations are welcome at the entrance

Parking: Free parking with free shuttle service from Saratoga High School. $15 at Hakone parking lot if space is available.



This event is quite fun, with lots of authentic foods, sake, music, and demonstrations! And best of all, it's free!
