Again! a New Format for Friday Games:
Now on the 4th Friday & I want to emphasize games that are quick, lively, and inclusive. Can you still play deep-thinking strategy games? yes, of course you can! But there will be more of a playful banter-y, fun & lively feeling all around you :-)
(I'll also be adding another monthly event exclusively for deep-thinker games...much like the recent Game Focus Nights...less boisterous, good for strategy games)
Friday Fun Game Night
This is your monthly Friday Night awesome plan if your date likes games, if you didn't have time to make a date, or if you'd rather play fun & social games than date, or if "dating is irrelevant; we will play games", or if you just...y'know...want to play games with awesome friends until it's too late to worry about going clubbing.
Let's play games that are lively and fun and include fun interaction. Yes to Taboo, Banana-grams, Time's Up, Bang!, Charades, Ticket to Ride Death Match Throw-Down, 7 Wonders, Strip Dominion (okay, but without the actual stripping), Outburst, etc. Yes, you can play a board game quietly with a small group if you wish...we still love ya...but the idea is to get some social interaction in a fun, platonic, group-of-friends kind of way.
The house opens at 7:30 and I'm gonna kick everybody out at 12:27 AM
(Crash Space has a 1-month waiting list...book in advance: VISA/MC/AmEx/PayPal)
Bring snacks or beverages to share....because it makes for a fun evening.
If you want to "just show up," I must ask for a $5 donation to allow me to provide snackage on your behalf. If you're bringing home-made brownies or Lasagna or Pina Coladas or cupcakes or pizza some other fun & yummy treat or beverage to share, don't worry about the $5
Alcoholic beverages are welcome, and social drinking is A-okay, but do please be safe & sane and make sure I'll be happy to see you again next month.
So, here's the recap:
7:30 House opens, let's play!
10:30 Loving this! You guys are the *best*!!
11:30 "Let's just finish this one last game"
Midnight "Everybody else left, eh?"
12:15 "You don't have to go home, but..."
By the Way, I would like to encourage anyone who enjoys playing games and wishes to play more to consider hosting a small event like this, either in your home or any other venue that appeals to you. If you are interested in using this Meet-Up group to find players, let me know: I can make you an assistant organizer and you'll be able to create an event, put it in our calendar, and invite people to it. You will have control over RSVPs and everything you need to make your event successful and easy to manage. Just contact me (Paul++) to talk about it.
