Google has provided 10 special discount codes for WebMapSocial members wishing to addend Google I/O - basically, $50 off a $300 ticket makes your cost $250 for the event. These discount codes will last beyond May 1st. We only have 10 discount codes, so only the first 10 to reply will be given a discount code. Please email me, Catherine Burton ([address removed]), if you are interested.
Details about the event are below.
Registration is open for Google's largest developer event of the year, Google I/O, being held on May 27 and 28, 2009 at Moscone Center in San Francisco. Space is limited so reserve your spot now as Google I/O attracts about 3,000 developers with two days full of in-depth breakout sessions on the latest technologies. New additions to the conference include learning about 3rd party technologies, as well as informal office hours with product managers and engineers and informative tech talks on areas of interest to developers, both of which are Google traditions. This year, sessions will span a range of topics including Android, Chrome, Google Web Toolkit, and Google App Engine. Some Geo sessions that might be of particular interest:
Building Advanced 3D Geographical Applications for the Web with the GoogleEarth API
Performance Tips for Geo API Mashups
What you Don't Know About Geo APIs Can't Hurt you
Maps APIs & Mobile
Building Scalable Geo Applications
