Singing & Dancing at Rudy's

  • January 23, 2013 · 9:00 PM

Come join us as we venture back to Rudy's Pub's in Palo Alto.  Our Member DJ Purple has been a member of our group the longest of all the KJ's -- since SBK was founded in 2007!  DJ Purple (Steve) operates 2 shows on the Peninsula and 2 in San Francisco.   He was voted "Best DJ" in San Francisco for SF Weekly Readers' Poll.

You should know that DJ Purple's song list consists almost entirely of dance music.  That's great news for those of you who love to dance AND sing at SBK events!  DJ Purple also moves the rotation VERY quickly, with little or no down time between songs.  So, get ready to move fast and enjoy yourself at this meetup.  You can save even more time by picking your songs in advance from DJ Purple's song list online:

Rudy's is located on University Avenue in Palo Alto.  Parking can be a bit tricky, but there are several free municipal lots nearby.  Also, the Palo Alto University Avenue Caltrain station is within walking distance for those who want to be eco-friendly.

Normally, we don't schedule meetups outside the South Bay (408) area.  However, DJ Purple's karaoke show is one of the best in the Bay Area and you don't want to miss him play that sax! Rudy's is very popular in Palo Alto and has an extremely enthusiastic crowd.

Karaoke starts at 9:30 p.m., but we'll be meeting at 9:00 pm. to save spots and sign up early.  Hope to see you there.

Fantastic night! This was the best turnout we've had at DJ Purple's shows, by far. The people at this venue LOVE their karaoke, sing to every song and cheer for every singer. Great music, dancing and singing. What a fun time!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
