400 + Miles freeways and 2 lane roads

This is a ride by one of the other meet up groups that I also co organize in. They have asked if we'd like to join them for this ride. It is a good ride for those of you looking for a full day in the saddle. This will include two meal stops Breakfast and Lunch. It will also have a couple POI stops were we can stretch our legs for a few minutes. We should have plenty of fuel stops, so even the smaller tanked bikes should be OK on this ride. The pace will be moderate, however as always I highly encourage everyone to ride their own ride, at their own pace. Not to worry, we will NOT lose anybody or leave anybody behind. The route has not yet been completely decided upon, however it will encompass some frwy and mostly two lane black top. It will cover elevation changes from sea level to 5000' So bring fluids and a snack. Camera and sunscreen. Temps will vary so bring/dress accordingly. Because of the length and time, you should at least be a intermediate level rider. This would be OK if its your first longer ride, just be prepared.   KSU 7:45 am. We should be home by 5:00 pm

OK, Here is the official route for Saturdays ride. "Just Riders" meet up group will meet us at our Starbucks and KSU at 8:00 am. We will head North on the 405. Take the 10 West til it becomes the PCH. Take PCH all the way up the coast and exit at Rose Ave in Oxnard. Go North on Rose Ave to Del Taco at 2000 N. Rose Ave Oxnard. Have a quick breakfast and get back on Rose Ave N. Exit on the 101 going North. Take the Hwy 126 to Santa Paula and exit onto the 150. Take the 150 into Ojai and turn right onto the 33. At the base of the 33 is a gas stop at Ojai gas. From there it will be twisty fun and some gorgeous scenery. We will go through elevations as high as 4800' and back down to 500' The first half of the 33 is twisty fun, and the second half is pretty straight and flat. We will take the 33 all the way to where it intersects with the 166. We will then turn left on the 166 and head towards the coast and end up in Santa Maria. Lunch will be at the famous Rancho Nipomo.

John, No they will be meeting us at our Starbucks. JUST a FYI, I am a co organizer for 3 MC meet ups, and will usually cross post the rides in all three. I set the meet up point usually at our Starbucks or the Chevron station on PCH and Sunset.

We will take the 33 all the way to where it ends at the 166 then head west for the coast. The variable to the ride is the first part. Right now it is 405 to the 5 then 126 west to Santa Paula. Take the ST RT 150 to the 33 in Ojai. Take the 33 North to the 166. Head west on the 166. Pick up the 101 in Santa Maria and take the 101 south back home.
