Thank you all for the welcome - it was just two of us in the end (daughter had a friend's birthday bash at the Harry Potter experience) but my son and I had a good time and hope to be there next week.

Schmoozing the Italians unfortunately. Who knows, maybe next week? This is getting a bit depressing...

      I don't think I've ever schmoozed. I feel like I've missed out.

Also bringing Age of Mythology - part one in my series of "games I've bought or traded but never got to the table", a longer list than I'd like!

Elements of deck building, worker placement, resource management, and combat. Plays 4, or 6 if we stretch the resources a bit. Egyptians vs Greeks vs Vikings!

Looks like they've gone for short and easy - suppose it is just a smallish part of the game. Smashing figures though!

    Hi
Thanks for the welcome. I love games in general but at the moment I don't really have any favorites but I'm looking forward to learning new ones.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
