Movie: Looper (& Drinks/Dinner):The Long Room Bar (Tooting)

The Long Room Bar is a lovely bar in Tooting Broadway & they do FREE movie screenings on Monday evenings.

We can meet from 7.30pm - for drinks/dinner and the movie will be screened at 8pm.  We can take drinks/dinner into the room where they show the movie.

About the film:

In 2074, when the mob wants to get rid of someone, the target is sent 30 years into the past, where a hired gun awaits. Someone like Joe, who one day learns the mob wants to 'close the loop' by transporting back Joe's future self.

The film got great reviews and those that I know that have seen it said it's worth a watch!

We have a no-show policy as below:

In order to provide a place for all interested members & to be fair to the hosts & to the venues, there is a no show rule for our meetups:

- if you have RSVP'd yes and don't show up or

- if you change your RSVP from yes to no within 12 hours before the meetup takes place

you get 1 no-show point. Once you have reached 3 points within one year the meetup organisers have the right to exclude you from the group, should they choose to do so.

Also, if you are a no-show to an event then the host of that event has the choice to exclude you from their future events if they wish; hosts are not paid for their time, they give up their own time to organise & hosts events so it is extremely frustrating when there are no shows.

This rule is here so everyone can enjoy the events -  you and the hosts - it's common courtesy to let hosts know if you can't make an event - so please ensure you keep your RSVP up to date.

I'll be at the bar between[masked] then I'll be in the back room; I'll be wearing a green jumper with black jeans, with a long navy blue over-cardigan - I'm short & I'll have my hair tied up in bun!
If you can no longer make it please change your RSVP.
    See you soon!

Sorry Carole, RSVPs weren't supposed to be closed 'til tomorrow, I've just re-opened RSVPs - so do RSVP if you can join us - or if you don't have access to meetup tomorrow for any reason then yes, by all means, do come along - I'll be at the bar until about 7.45 then I'll be in the back room. Hope you're able to make it!

The pub is a short walk from Tooting Broadway tube station - come out of the tube and turn right (ie walk away from the main junction) - the pub is on a corner on the same side of the street as the tube station (note it's on Mitcham Road, not the High Street)

Hiya! Two things: any idea who is starring in the film and also is there a bus from the station to the venue (and what number)? (It looks miles away...) Thanks.

For those that haven't been before, I forgot to mention, the movie is shown in the back room on a large white screen and they have comfy leather sofas to sit on plus coffee tables to use for drinks/'s not a cinema experience but it is still a nice way to watch a movie...& it's free - so why not give it a try!
