Combining unique comedy in a new quirky venue we guarantee that you will laugh heartily whilst surrounded by vint age treasures. Our fantastic run south of the river continues with an absolutely chocca-block bill of brilliance, in fact, possibly one of our best ever line-ups: SOL BERNSTEIN Our favourite old school entertainment legend returns to We Love Comedy, this time in Brixton! "No age barrier to comic genius" Edinburgh Evening News TOM DEACON Tom opens for us tonight. After winning The Chortle Student Comedian Award in 2007, Tom took part in Edinburgh Festival’s longest running group comedy show, 'The Comedy Zone' in 2008, which previously launched the careers of Russell Howard, Harry Hill and Al Murray. The following year he returned to the festival with h is first solo show, Indecisive, performing to sold-out cro wds and gaining critical acclaim. Tom returned to the festival in 2011 with new show 'Can I Be Honest?' and in 2012 with 'Deaconator.' He also hosts his own show on BBC Radio 1 every Sunday from 7-9pm. ‘With looks, confidence, charm and great material, expect other comics to lynch him’ - The Sunday Times JAMES MULLINGER Not only are we very jealous that James has interviewed Jerry Seinfeld TWICE for GQ magazine, he's also a fantastic stand-up. We can't wait to host him! "The exuberant quality of his stand up makes him one to watch" - The Guardian SARAH BENNETTO Sarah Bennetto is a stand-up comic from Melbourne, Australia, now living and performing in the UK. She has performed on stage, radio and television as a stand-up comic and presenter, and is responsible for experimental comedy collective Storytellers' Club. Quite simply: awesome. "Feisty" -Time Out JESSICA FOSTEKEW Jessica is one of our favourite comedy humans and a tip top topical writer. She's fast becoming a 'We Love Comedy' regular and is popping by tonight to try a little new material on us all... "Intensely funny" and "Very talented" - Timeout ANDY HOLLOWAY Andy is our hot shot new kid on the block. We saw him perform at a little gig a little while ago and wanted to get him on the bill as soon as we could. And Sean will be hosting with his usual shenanigans and possibly a few other shenanigans too! Plus Lea, Renata and Sean (with Lady the three-legged lurcher) will be there to meet you all beforehand for a warm welcome and chat (well, Lady probably won't do that much chatting to be fair!). And we'll probably have our super infamous joke competition too! Meetup discounted tickets available here: http://welovecomedyef... Http://www.weheartcomedy.com
Please change your RSVP if you can no longer make it - we have a no-show policy: In order to provide a place for all interested members & to be fair to the hosts & to the venues, there is a no show rule for our meetups: - if you have RSVP'd yes and don't show up or - if you change your RSVP from yes to no within 12 hours before the meetup takes place you get 1 no-show point. Once you have reached 3 points within one year the meetup organisers have the right to exclude you from the group, should they choose to do so. Also, if you are a no-show to an event then the host of that event has the choice to exclude you from their future events if they wish; hosts are not paid for their time, they give up their own time to organise & hosts events so it is extremely frustrating when there are no shows. This rule is here so everyone can enjoy the events - you and the hosts - it's common courtesy to let hosts know if you can't make an event - so please ensure you keep your RSVP up to date. Thank you.
