  • October 7, 2013 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

The Long Room Bar is a nice bar in Tooting Broadway & they do FREE movie screenings on Monday evenings.
Meet from 7pm- for drinks/dinner and the movie will be screened at 8pm.
Seating is limited & on a first come basis - so if you want a sofa seat then you need to be early/on time; the venue doesn't allow seat reservations.
You can take drinks/dinner into the room where they show the movie.
Link to the Long Room food menu:
They (are supposed to!) serve free popcorn, but u have to ask for it if u want it!
And on Mondays their burgers are 2 for £11, with a choice of beef, lamb, chicken & veggie (they have other choices on their full menu)
There's a map on the bottom of the above link.

FILM: The Iceman
The Iceman is a 2012 American crime thriller film directed by Ariel Vromen based on the life of notorious ruthless hitman Richard Kuklinski. It was released in 2012 at the Venice Film Festival and stars Michael Shannon, Winona Ryder, Chris Evans and Ray Liotta.
The Iceman screened at the 2012 Telluride Film Festival and the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival before receiving a limited release in cinemas in the United States on May 3, 2013. It expanded into more cinemas in the USA on May 17. It was released to DVD on September 3rd.

Getting there
If you're coming by tube - come out of Tooting Broadway tube - turn right (away from the traffic light junction) - the pub's on the same side of the street as the tube station - it's on a corner - it's a short walk.

If you're driving there is parking on the side street - free after 5.30pm.

How to find us

When you enter the pub turn right, walking past the bar and you will find the room at the back. Curtains will be drawn back until the movie starts at 8pm. I'll have a table/sofa with the meetup sign on it. Unfortunately I'm not allowed to reserve seats so it's first come, first serve.

No show policy
This group has a no-show policy as below:
In order to provide a place for all interested members & to be fair to the hosts & to the venues, there is a no show rule for our meetups:
- if you have RSVP'd yes and don't show up or
- if you change your RSVP from yes to no within 12 hours before the meetup takes place you get 1 no-show point. Once you have reached 3 points within one year the meetup organisers have the right to exclude you from the group, should they choose to do so.
Also, if you are a no-show to an event then the host of that event has the choice to exclude you from their future events if they wish; hosts are not paid for their time, they give up their own time to organise & hosts events so it is extremely frustrating when there are no shows.
This rule is here so everyone can enjoy the events - you and the hosts - it's common courtesy to let hosts know if you can't make an event - so please ensure you keep your RSVP up to date.
Thank you.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
