  • This location is shown only to members

The Long Room Bar is a nice bar in Tooting Broadway & they do FREE movie screenings on Monday evenings.

Meet from 6.30pm - for drinks/dinner and the movie will be screened at 8pm.

Seating is limited & on a first come basis - so if you want a sofa seat then you need to be early/on time; the venue doesn't allow seat reservations.

You can take drinks/dinner into the room where they show the movie. They serve free popcorn during the movie :)

And on Mondays their burgers are 2 for £11, with a choice of beef, lamb, chicken & veggie.

There's a map on the bottom of the above link.

If you're coming by tube - come out of Tooting Broadway tube - turn right (away from the traffic light junction) - the pub's on the same side of the street as the tube station - it's on a corner - it's a short walk.

If you're driving there is parking on the side street - free after 5.30pm.

This group has a no-show policy as below:

In order to provide a place for all interested members & to be fair to the hosts & to the venues, there is a no show rule for our meetups:

- if you have RSVP'd yes and don't show up or

- if you change your RSVP from yes to no within 12 hours before the meetup takes place

you get 1 no-show point. Once you have reached 3 points within one year the meetup organisers have the right to exclude you from the group, should they choose to do so.

Also, if you are a no-show to an event then the host of that event has the choice to exclude you from their future events if they wish; hosts are not paid for their time, they give up their own time to organise & hosts events so it is extremely frustrating when there are no shows.

This rule is here so everyone can enjoy the events -  you and the hosts - it's common courtesy to let hosts know if you can't make an event - so please ensure you keep your RSVP up to date.

Thank you.

Monday 25th's Long Room movie is The Wolverine - which once again is already a meetup at The Grove in Balham too - so we'll be skipping the Long Room on 25th...we should be back at the Long Room on Monday 2nd December for The East - though that's TBC

I'm really not well. Sneezes, runny nose and now the shivers. Tried to brave it out but I'm going back to bed. I would be really grateful if the first person to arrive would put a meetup sign up on their table so that any newcomers can find the group easily? Many thanks, Gilly

Nice night with friendly people. Shame about the sound of the film and surrounding noise from the pub speakers.

Carsten will now be hosting this evening's movie meetup.
However he can't get there til around 7, or a little after - so if you're there before him then grab yourselves some seats and make yourselves comfortable.
There is another group that goes to the Monday Movie - the CouchSurfers group - their host is Becky...we all tend to mix in and chat...so don't be shy and say hi to those around you and introduce yourselves.
I enjoyed the movie...hope you have a nice time.

Just to say that there's not a waiting list for this event and the meetup is full - so if your plans should change then please do change your RSVP in case others want to join. Thx.
    Hope you enjoy it!
