UPDATED on Fri 16th May @ noon
Just a reminder that RSVPing does not not guarantee you a place as I have allowed people to RSVP without a payment. The RSVP just shows you interest, but only a payment guarantees you a place.
Last payment date and time
I was initially hoping to limit the number of people to around 120-130. I have had over 10 phone calls today for spaces. I have listed their names and guaranteed them and their guests a space on the boat. This has resulted in the limit going up to 140 now. Sorry no more phone calls. It's been advertised for 3-4 weeks now!
The boat cruise disco has certainly proven to be a popular event! Over 100 tickets paid for!
Not a drop of rain predicted in Kingston, Richmond, and Hampton, and it will be cloudy/sunny. It will give us a chance to enjoy the outside area of the boat as well as have some of the windows open :)
Verifying your place on the day
If you can please bring a printout of the email confirmation I have sent to you then that would be good, however I have all the info I need to verify you without the printout!
Taking the piss
If you have not paid, please do not pretend you have! You will not be allowed to any meetups I organise and relevant meetup organisers informed.
Unlike some other meetups, this is one meetup you will have to be on time for so please allow time for delays in your journey to it! We will start ticking off people at 7:15pm and the boat will leave at 7:45pm!! I will personally be aiming to get there between 6:30pm and 7pm.
Finding the place and me
Address: Kingston Turks Pier, Thames Side, Kingston Upon Thames KT1 1PX
It is behind the John Lewis car park. The boat will be easy to spot as it’s a large double decker as per the picture.
Using the postcode Google maps shows a slightly off location which is about 5 minutes walk from the actual Turks Pier. When you view Google maps with the postcode you can see where the Turks Pier actually is in the same view. However, if you type into Google maps the words ‘Kingston Turks Pier’ then it will pinpoint the exact location.
Whatever you would normally wear at a meetup.
Food and drinks
You cannot bring any food or drinks on-board. However, if you want to bring a sandwich or some snack to consume while you wait to board then feel free to do so, there are bins nearby to put the rubbish into. And yes of course there are lavatories on the boat J
Anyone with a nice camera want to volunteer to help take pictures?
Looking forward to a great evening out!
