An evening of great live music from: **IN THE BALLROOM** An evening of great live music **IN THE BALLROOM**
With a vocal ability that is simply breathtaking and energy that is electrifying, Georgia knows how to communicate with her audience. People who have seen her perform say she has a stage presence that is out of this world. She exudes charisma. Her voice is velvety, sweet, strong, angelic and full of soul and she is inimitable. As soon as she opens her mouth, you know it is Georgia! Her songs are personal and honest. They are underpinned by genuine emotion and indignation. She is so versatile, there are simply no limits to her ability as an artist so she is at home with various styles but essentially she is an upbeat R&B nightingale with an attitude. A real soul singer, one could coin her style 'porcelain soul'. This stunning little woman sweeps the audience off its feet.
Now taking on London there are no limits to what she can achieve. Georgia is currently performing live in London and attracting more and more fans as she goes along. Georgia's passion for her art is an integral part of her life and she will go to length to make her work a success.
In 2008, three college friends got together to make music and TOMOKIYO was born - an alt rock band wielding a dirty blues-laden rhythmic assault, a bitterly romantic underbelly and devastatingly handsome melodies.
MOTHERSHIP www.mothershipofficial.com
Mothership are an English Rock band formed in the summer of 2011 by singer Jack Stiles, Guitarist Ben Lochrie and drummer Charlie Skeggs. The line-up was completed by session bassist Sandy Beales who left in November 2011 to concentrate more as a touring session musician. Bassist Freddie Draper has now replaced Sandy to complete the line-up. The Mothership style of music is early 70's hard rock, the material is almost all original and written by the band. The overall sound is unmistakably authentic in the true mould of Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin but with the added bonus of vocal harmonies both in the studio and live. Their diverse influences not only contribute to their extraordinary playing and singing capabilities but also to their knowledge of their chosen musical style. The music is loud and aggressive but never noisy. The style is always classy and interesting. Riffs are badass, powerful and clear but never at the expense of the undoubted musicality that runs through every member of the band.
Also for those with more jazz, softer taste, IN THE THEATRE you can take a look at:- JASMINE NELSON www.myspace.com/jasminenelsonmusic
Jasmine Nelson has been performing professionally for the past 8 years. She has a beautiful and mesmerising voice that brings together elements of Jazz, acoustic and contemporary music. Her talents have taken her to performances throughout Australia and Europe. She was a semi-finalist at the 2006 Montreux Jazz Voice Competition and was awarded 2nd place at the 2006 Brussels Jazz Voice Competition. She will be performing songs from her forth-coming album.
GEORGIA BARRY www.georgiabarry.co.uk
GEORGIA BARRY www.georgiabarry.co.uk Georgia Barry grew up in a very musical family with her British uncle rising to fame as the bassist for the Sunny Jim Band which was very popular in Europe during the eighties. At the age of 16 she started classical voice and ear training and soon found herself recording with Loomis Green (Jan Delay) who later put her in contact with the renowned David Lee- Brewer. He took her under his wing and trained her intensively in performance and singing. Having worked with artists such as Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, EnVogue, H-Town and LeToya Luckett, David knew talent when he saw it! He became not only Georgia’s mentor but also her manager. Soon she was singing in the Ultra Lounge
regularly and performed at the Berlin Philharmonic in front of 2000 people. With the help of David Lee Brewer and management at Brewer International she drew the attention of several Grammy award-winning producers, such as Gregory Curtis, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis as well as young up-and-coming producer Kris Rahming. Since her move to London she has attracted the attention of L.A. producer Gavin Christopher who has written for Chaka Khan, Grandmaster Flash, and many more. Georgia is currently writing music with Julian Chown for an album which is going to be finished early 2012. With a vocal ability that is simply breathtaking and energy that is electrifying, Georgia knows how to communicate with her audience.
